News, Notes and Specials
This month's newsletter will focus on Carnival cruise line and Princess
cruises. These cruise lines are two of the big players in the cruise business,
Carnival has always touted their ships as the "Fun Ships" and
Princess' motto is "Escape completely". While these ships offer
different amenities that may appeal to different customer interests, both
cruise lines do what they are designed to do well and that's ensure a
great cruising experience.
Carnival Miracle Tour
Everyone has their own opinion on Carnival Cruise lines, unfortunately
most people have developed that opinion because of a comment someone else
may have made and not due to their personal experience. People that have
sailed on Carnival recently will tell you that they have some really fantastic
ships in their fleet, especially the Spirit class ships and their new
Carnival Miracle.
Earlier this year we had an opportunity to take a tour on one of Carnival's
newest ships, the Miracle. Carnival is really working hard to put themselves
on the top of the list of family cruises with this new entry of this Spirit
class ship. Our detailed tour took us through all major public areas,
as well as a trip to the dining room for a fantastic dinner with service
from the staff that would rival most cruise lines out there. In fact our
dining room staff put on a little unexpected entertainment, which was
actually quite entertaining considering we were just visiting the ship
between sailings. One of the things that all cruise lines do well is create
a theme for each of their ships, Carnival is no exception. The theme on
the Miracle was surrounding fictitious characters, like Robin Hood, the
Mad Hatter and Superman to name a few. A very nice touch that I have yet
to see on any other ship was the sitting area that wraps around the ship
on both sides, decorated with arches, vines, murals and latticework. It
would be a great place to sit and relax and read a book, the sunlight
from outside provides the setting, but no wind to contend with.
Below are some of the facts about the Carnival Miracle straight from
Carnival. I would recommend that the next time you are considering a cruise,
that Carnival is on your list as a potential Cruise Line, and the Miracle
should be at the top of that list.
Carnival Miracle
Sailing Dates:
Carnival Miracle continues the tradition of unparalleled fun that Carnival
is famous for. The newest Spirit-class vessel to join the "Fun Ship" family,
she makes her debut from Jacksonville, Florida in March of 2004. Along
with the distinction of being the first Carnival ship to sail from this
home port, she also brings with her such innovative amenities as a two-level
promenade and reservations-only supper club. Also remarkable is that 80%
of her staterooms have ocean views, allowing you to admire beautiful scenery
from the comfort of your own private stateroom.
*Please note: Some sailing dates for this ship may require a pre-paid gratuity charge.
